Track’em Pty Ltd is delighted to announce it has been named Overall Winner of the ‘2015 WA Innovator of the Year Award’.

An initiative of the Department of Commerce, the awards recognise the success of innovative ideas and celebrate the initiative of entrepreneurial individuals. It builds capability through commercialisation training and mentoring as well as acknowledging, showcasing and awarding eligible innovators, entrepreneurs, businesses and young creative minds.

The program features two categories: Emerging Innovation and Growth. The Mitsubishi Corporation WA Innovator the Year overall winner is chosen from these two categories. Trackem was a finalist in the Growth category.

The award ceremony was held at the State Reception Centre in Kings Park and attended by notable guests including Governor Kerry Sanderson and Professor Fiona Wood.

The Innovator of the Year program is targeted to address market problems and realise opportunities of importance to Western Australia.

Kashif Saleem, Track’em’s CEO and Founder said, “We are delighted to win this award. It is truly humbling considering the caliber of the other innovations and technologies that were in the running.

By winning the Innovator of the Year Award, we hope Trackem can gain exposure and recognition in terms of the value maximization and waste minimizing effects it can provide to businesses and the economy as a whole”.

Track’em won the award against other notable innovators including Bombora Wave Power Pty Ltd and Proteomics International Pty Ltd.

The WA Innovator of the Year (IOTY) program has showcased innovative and entrepreneurial individuals, businesses and creative minds since 2006. The program has benefited many of those who have participated as well as the broader community of Western Australia.
